At the end...

I ’m finally finished my final major project and starting to build our degree show. My final major project was inspired by the repetitive nature of public transport and my daily commute to college; I looked at the textures which adorn the surfaces of public transport vehicles. Initially my work was inspired by the paintings of artist Connor Harrington, and the works of David Hockney. My work is a mixture of hand rendered drawing and photography which is brought together using CAD to produce my final collections. My designs where created with the interior market in mind, when I began my work I pictured adorning the large interior walls of a train or metro station. During the course of the module I was in contact with the manager of Hartlepool train station who was impressed with my work and has incorporated it into the ongoing redevelopment of the train station.
